Mumbai: To deter malpractices in realty deals the state government is likely to make changes in rules and will make it obligator for developers to first get registered with Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) before starting developingprocess in slum projects.
State housing minister Sachin Ahir said that, “there are several complaints have been made against the SRA developers, but yet there is no term to deter these irregularities. Only registered developers will be allowed toparticipate.” Ahir added that, “the new Annexure three would deal with financial capability of the developer.”
The deputy chairman of the council Vasant Davkhare directed the state to take knowledge o increasing irregularities in the SRA projects. He also added that, “There are complaints against every SRA project. Injustice is done to the real beneficiary of the scheme (slum dwellers).”
